ON THE MYSTERIES ☾

Let me speak on both the practical and heavenly facts of Magic. I have been contemplating with great import the Mysteries as they stand relevant to my own personal development, and to a civilization left bereft of its own natural magics and philosophies, parched of spiritual sustenance and practically famished for meaningful contacts. This special type of nourishment which concerns us here, to which all persons are sanctioned, is at once ubiquitous and concealed. These are the in-dwelling secrets of Lord Shiva and his luminous, dark consort Kali Ma, attained to and crystallized by the fiery waters of love. Therein are the keys to satiety, wisdom, beauty, truth and best of all: freedom. Thus the keys are perfectly available to us within our Temple, the Sanctuary of the Anahata. And obviously, it is only natural to get caught up, pulled into the cataclysmic waves of abysmal emotion, or the granular detail of life, and miss the scope. We forget the Eternality of things. But we ‘have always been here before’ so there really is nothing to worry about. And everything is numinous and magical by intent. There is no place where Shiva is not. He dwells within you; and within all things.

It is useful to note that Mysteries have both their worldly and mystical functions. Many of the finest arts and medicines and works of music are attributed to aberrations in consciousness. Tantrism is fundamentally concerned that we burn limitations and become more than we are. We are fine as we are, no doubt, but there are strange, starry dimensions which veil vast, unfathomable Mysteries and birth us new ways to illumine Eternal Truths. Remember, the Path to Self-Realization is often steep, occasionally harrowing but always majestic.
