CINEMATIC
COSMOLOGY
[And The Tree of Life]
"Without art we would be nothing but foreground and live entirely in the spell of that perspective which makes what is closest at hand and most vulgar appear as if it were vast, and reality itself." — Friedrich Nietzsche
Cinema is an unmitigated, often numinous vehicle of expression; it laces many sensorial streams simultaneously, transforming a static view into an intricate, mobile experience. Specifically, surrealistic imagery entwines fragmented, abstract phenomena together in a way that, upon first glance, seems ‘unnatural,’ providing the viewer with an unusual vantage point. This portraiture defies mechanistic logic; but the strange intersection and atmosphere wordlessly transmits meaning. Thus, an experimental completeness is painted, closer to the Truth of the quantum experience. Similarly, magical diagrams offer a pictorial depiction of how reality’s dimensions trickle, ooze and pirouette together.
The Tree of Life for example, offers a ‘cosmic master records’ which nets off into planetary and element groupings. These can be broken down further, and so on and so forth—with each sphere containing something of the other, like Russian Dolls. Resembling cinema, many disjointed layers move concurrently; textures, echoes, lights, all jingle in tandem to animate an ethereal landscape.

Saturn relates to left-side of the Tree, ‘severity’; like the yoni, it applies pressure, provides shape, form and structure, and whittles away excess. The right-side, ‘mercy,’ relates to Jupiter; expansion, compassion and growth. Without Saturn, Jupiter swells into energetic mutation, dispersion and loss of the Will; without Jupiter, Saturn leads to stifled vision and fruitless, grey asphyxiation.

Void meditation unfurls a sleek, avant-garde perception, where seemingly unrelated or oppositional phenomena are really gliding, or becoming, concurrently. In function, Void is like liquid leather, dissolving rigid structure in a stream of ink. We then distill essence from any soil and nimbly consume, absorb and weave it into our awareness. This is 12th House consciousness, and the target of Crossing the Abyss. The pronged tongue of the Serpent (Life-Force) is ubiquitous; energy seems to lurch, slide, and twine more lithely, the way vapor seeps discretely through crevices. It becomes task of the seeker to gradually adjust perception to know this, to become this. Might you always find the glimmer in darkness, and further; know that the dark is quite infinitely illumination!
