The Esoteric is not limited to obscure grimoires and incomprehensible lyrics. It is rather the knowledge inherent, albeit concealed, in Reality; its arcane symbolism expressed universally. Therefore, to the voracious student, receptive, ready and roused, All Ends are receptacles. The Mind is simply an instrument with which to attain the seductive confidences of Nature’s Bosom.

In plainness, Magic is a current, or transmission. Whatever external ā€œformā€ this transmission takes (scripture, music, speech) is secondary to the living, breathing essence contained therein. This essence is its spiritual power, its Shakti. When this power lacks, the work will be spiritually barren, even if its technical nomenclature might render it efficacious. Good writing, for example, is contingent upon the way syllables work together musically, not simply the choice of words. This sense of musicality produces an attractive, energized syntax, and enchants the reader to continue. Further, this sense of musicality is illumined by the Sri Yantra, a geometrical design which reveals the non-dual nature of the cosmos. You see, Rahu is wonderful to make sense of the world through classification. But language is only a matter of convenience. Often the divisive intellect (Rahu) posits certain concepts to be antithetical to each other, when in Reality they coexist. Take sexuality and spirituality for example, or darkness and enlightenment. These concepts support each other. The Sri Yantra cosmically reveals the correlation between these concepts, despite the illusory veneer of their contradiction (chaos). Mystical contemplation (Ketu) augments a deep, immersive understanding of this, not simply intellectual consideration (Rahu).

In short, wisdom lives in many names and forms according to viewpoint. Truth will be realized by persons independently of each other, there is no doubt. Ketu is a subtle gateway to this higher understanding, and embodies Sarpa-vidyā or this hidden, lost knowledge we speak of. For this reason, one who peers past the terrifying aspect of Ketu and understands the deeper meaning will lead a life rooted in truth and bliss.
