Enchantresses of the Equinox 🌙

Though the Goddess delineates her starry wisdom by taking various forms, I do trust the superior poetic idea arrives by Nocturne. Beyond the Temple, crows chant, wolves weep, and Willows weave a jeweled canopy for secreted lovers to meet. In the ceramic half-light, a strange, winded howl flutters with a distinct instrumentation, persuading the same experience as the Orchestra does upon the Soul. Its terrestrial pulse sleeps in wildfire, and its melody is not of this world, plump with fragrance of antiquity. In the deep wood, branches quiver to violent congruence, bare nymphettes bathe in black lakes and silhouettes flushed by lilac corral the hollow. Above, the Eevening Lily drapes her nightdress over the Sun Disc in slippery trance; the burning scent drenches the dreams of those beneath in intense delight, perhaps to degree not hitherto experienced.
The Moon rules the visionary Astral Realm or “Treasure House of Images,” the sphere of sex and the generative organs, which looms just above Malkuth, the Sefira to whom the Queen of Night is attributed on the Nightly Tree. In the silvery-violet of the Astral, aspirants sometimes receive mantras, uncover jewels, tap into abilities, and enrich understanding. The opposite is also true. The Astral corresponds to the element of Air, and Moon to Water. Water is of ‘Yin Polarity’, which functions to magnetize, absorb and contain energy, hence its association with the Enchantress. This is precisely the role of the Siren or Muse in dream; these watery creatures mesmerize, and serve as burning intercessor between Malkuth, which is Earthy and receptive, and the Astral. Stoking of the serpent power in sleep, often culminates in deep, rapid creative stimulus. Relevant is The Devil’s Trumpet or Thorn Apple, which is soaked with tropane alkaloids. It is earnestly “nocturnal” as it wilts in the Sunlight, but blooms in Moonlight. As outlined, Apples are Venusian and receptive. Earned by the poem’s sublime spiritual value, apples grant the poet power to bewitch the living for eternity. A flicker of the Muse therefore “haunts” the artwork, dwelling there immortally, most Alive in Dawnless Chambers.
