The Moon relates to Shakti; in her Underworld expression (8th House), Our Lady Scarlet gallantly voyages the World of Shells (the Realm of the Dead) for the purpose of Initiation!
Scorpio is a cosmic stage most dynamic, like a fiery wreath of infernal lilies—by this end, many theurgical principles cross-pollinate (sex, death and transmutation) in this cosmic stage. This pyre energy rouses the silver-hot hearth of sensual imagination (water), and its sapphire fire (regeneration) transmutes all life-forms back into the Natural World, Cosmos, etc. We can contemplate how the quivering blueish tinge of the flame is roiling hot and can thus rapidly extricate ‘decay’.

As the 13th Key in Tarot, or ‘The Child of the Great Transformers, Lord of the Gates of Death’ it is a Hallmark of the Path; the force which withers to flourish! Thus, its hypnotic force wretches the Soul open; its quality is like an exfoliant which removes debris by a ‘harsh jagged edge’ (8th House of penetration) which cannot be extirpated by slippery, sudsy sugar washes. To put it clearly, this cosmic stage is envenomed with a corrosive character which produces conditions to develop spiritually. Thereafter it’s process becomes extremely nurturing! Scorpio is a sign of transmutation and “initiation” (Death) so Scorpios often fulfill the role of “Initiatrix”— unconsciously, or consciously if they devote themselves to the Esoteric Arts!
Initially, this cosmic stage is like a congregate of scorching, down-tuned guitars; the layers of distortion shelter the inner-most sanctity of the melody (Soul in Metamorphosis). The aggravation pressurizes the Eagle-Snake-Scorpion into the Ethers and also fertilizes the Netherworld with esoteric jewels—sirens crooning like sequins in the Luminous Dark, or the Cape of Nocturnal Secrets! By this end, the Mysteries conceal themselves, but crave those adventurous, penetrative and persistent enough to seek them out!
